So great to see Reel English student Martha Higareda on this week’s episode of “CSI: Miami.”  Brilliant, as usual!

Enjoyed this evening’s rapid vowel review during a semi-private lesson with two lovely up-and-coming actresses from Japan and Russia.  I was glad to clarify some surprising misconceptions as in the vowel [ou], which is formed starting with the tongue in schwa position followed by movement to high-back and ending with lip-rounding.  Clarity is king!

It’s always such a pleasure to see Ana de la Reguera — whether I’m coaching her for an upcoming audition or flipping through magazines online.  Doesn’t she look gorgeous as the covergirl for “Revolution”?

Ricci Harnett, an amazing student from way back when, continues to amaze me as the star in the British film “Desperate Measures.”  Audiences are raving about his haunting and menacing portrayal of a non-traditional drug rehab counselor — you’d never know he was such a sweetheart in real life!
